Mayor Rick Blangiardi and Mayor Wu Xiande signed an agreement on establishing a Sister City Relationship with Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, US, and Fuzhou City, China, which took place on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 – via video link.
Fuzhou and Honolulu will work towards exchange and cooperation in economic trade, culture and arts, education, and health.
Documents were also signed for developing a friendly exchange between the cultural bureaus of the two cities, as well as between a Fuzhou high school and a private high school institution -ʻIolani School.
